HomeWalk 2012
One of the key photos I did not post in 2012 was our HomeWalk photo. We had our best HomeWalk yet in 2012. We walked with the Corporation for Supportive Housing Team for the first time, which included April, who is just a year younger than Jack and Sadie. It was a great walk and I think we even made it to the finish line in under 2 hours.
The Wonderful World of Flight
Jack and Sadie are not strangers to planes or cockpits, but they got even more time to explore planes at a local aviation museum.
Performances
I have been horribly remiss in posting, but I will try to make up for it in 2013 with some catch up posts.
Sadie and Jack were both in a holiday performance organized by their wonderful preschool, Celebration Kids. The performance was both adorable and hilarious. Sadie was also in a performance of the Nutcracker through her ballet class at Twinkle Toes. While she was a beautiful ballerina, I think the Celebration Kids performance was more up her alley. This month she decided to abandon ballet for swim classes with Jack, which do seem to be a lot more fun.

Halloween 2012
We had an awesome Halloween filled with lots of parties and candy - as it should be. Out of the dozens of kids in the Halloween parade at Jack and Sadie's school, Jack was definitely the scariest. He was one creepy skeleton. The non-family members in the photos above are his pirate teacher Vivian and his friend Captain "Ethan" America. Sadie made a lovely princess Leia, which made me happy because if you are going to be a princess better to be a princess who is fighting to save the universe. We were excited to run into a storm trooper. Pud joined the fun as a pirate and hit the trick-or-treating trail with us. Once again, I was so impressed with how well behaved out children were in refraining from candy until we got home. Halloween may just be their best holiday.
CicLAvia
Last month we and 100,000 others hit the streets for CicLAvia. Every few months miles of LA streets are closed to cars, but open bikers and walkers. We had a great day biking through Chinatown and downtown.
